Here's the scenario:

One's mate informs their S/O that they have a friend of the opposite sex, who is on a long trip and asked to stop at their house to pay a visit and stay the night,then continue on their road trip.

They tell them that the friend will be sleeping in the sofa, insist that S/O meet the friend and spend the night as well. They refuse to meet the friend or spend the night. The friend does spend the night as planned. Now there is conflict because a friend of the opposite sex was allowed to sleep over.

Who is in the wrong here? The person that allowed the friend to spend the night or the significant other that refused to meet the friend and spend the night?
